Goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway -- Low Down and Dirty is worth the price of admission, and I'm happy to be a paid tier subscriber. Alan has insight few writers in our profession do -- so keep 'em comin', brotha!!
Well, a simple ask should work. Hopefully, you'll be so busy keeping up with them for awhile you won't have time to worry about it. No doubt in my mind either, having been a long admirer of your work, dating back to some article in Hitting the Note I think, then some of your recent books on the Brothers, that I am happy to contribute to the free flowing of ideas, yours in particular, so keep them comin, Alan. Love the perspective!
Gladly signed up for the paid subscription! I am a big fan of your books, and see value from the content you share here and on social media. Keep it coming!
As much as I would like to subscribe, my wife and I had a conversation recently about our subscriptions streaming etc., so $80 is sadly a no go.Have you considered an early subscribers rate, student rate or Hey I got a wife rate?
Many of my favorite writers have moved to Substack and eventually start a paid subscription. I get it. And I subscribe to several. But most of them offer an annual subscription for less than $80. For what has historically been two or maybe three posts a month, that seems pretty steep. I'm not going to ask for a free subscription, but for now, I won't be signing up.

I think I'm in the paid tier, if not, help. An artist deserves to be paid for their work.
Thank you. Will check and let you know.

Dude! A “Hey I Got A Wife” rate is brilliant. I will toy with sub levels!

Fair... thanks for the feedback. TBH, I followed the Substack pricing suggestions. I do plan on increasing output.
Excited about the subscription option for additional content. I've always enjoyed your articles and books!
