What a great & historic night. Was a thrill to be in that room. Rereading the story brought great memories, chills and cheers.

The road goes on…

Looking forward to the next book

Why are the ABB not releasing the gem in a beautiful REMASTERED available in all formats ? Why are the owners of the rights holding out ?? So many of us are WAITING !!! ABB forever ❤️🎸🎹🎤🥁🎼🎸

It was great to read this again - thank you for posting! I just pre-ordered "Brothers & Sisters" through the Big House (Merch Mountain) website. The new book cannot come fast enough! The ABB - "the greatest band in the land" - it just never gets old!

Thank you, Alan, for such great writing of your inside view of the closing shows at The Beacon of the greatest band in my lifetime. I can't wait to read "Brothers and Sisters" when it comes out in 2023! Please come to Georgia for a book signing. XO

Have to give a big thank you for this great review. After listening through to all the tracks, and considering its place in Rock and Roll history, I put this final ABB concert right up there with The Last Waltz.

Thank you! I was working on an updated expanded version of Big in China before I started this new book. I think I’m going to pick it back up when I fully wrap this one up.

Thanks for that wonderful memory. I can still hear Greg singing "goodbye baby" in Trouble No More and it gives me chills. Incredible way to go out.

Thank you Alan. I’ve been an ABB (especially Duane) disciple from age 11 and was at the Beacon for the last three nights. Your recap of the final show (was fortunate to be in the 4th row) was spot-on and brought it all back for me. A sad but perfect end for the greatest American band. Cheers!

Thank you for republishing this wonderful review of an extraordinary night. I listened live on XM from Richmond, absorbing all the energy that I could from the aether. Your always-eloquent observations bring me to that moment as if I were in fire seven of the Beacon.

I was 9 years old, walking the streets, I have this song in my head, I can’t get it out of my head. I didn’t know who sang the song or who the band was.

That was 51 years ago and the song was

“Please Call Home”

It’s still one of my favorites.
