The sparse info on 8-track tapes is to blame for my lack of prior knowledge about Mick's writing contributions.... Learned something new today. Thanks.

Nice piece. Bad Company is one of my favorite bands of the arena rock/ FM classic rock genre

Thank you Bob. Just added to my playlist(s). I enjoy what you do on Sirius and looking forward to more of your content. I just attended my 1500th show since my first concert Dec 3rd 1979 (The Who in Cincinnati, yes that infamous concert). If it was not for music and live shows I would be lost. My tastes are unbelievably diverse. Cheers !

I discovered bot Mott the Hoople and Bad Company in 1974, through the pages of Circus and Creem magazines. I immediately became a Mick Ralphs fan, especially after hearing his outro solo on "Sweet Jane". If you listen to Metallica's live version with Lou Reed at the R&R HOF Kirk Hammett pays a nice tribute to Mick on his solo.

It would be interesting to put Rodgers's vocals over Mott's "Ready for Love" arrangement.
