Great work as always! Alan Paul is our best rock and roots music writer working today. His writing humanizes our music icons. If you haven't read his books, you don't know what you're missing. Start with Big in China, you won't be able to put it down.
You are good people and taking care of your own ,in a time of crisis, says a lot about your character. Positive vibes towards your family, band mates and crew can only result in incredible dividends in the future.
Nice interview Alan TTB is excellent and I have seen them at The Beacon Theatre ..great show ..l would love to play some Blues w them someday and yes I'm a Union Harmonica player !
Great interview, Alan. I am looking forward to meeting you in person at the City Winery in NYC on Wednesday, Aug 11th, 7:30 pm, when you will perform with your band, Friends of the Brothers. I'll be the guy wearing the 2014 Beacon T-shirt from the farewell ABB performances.
Another great interview Alan. I love the Layla album, and will look forward to the rest of the interview. It’s so cool that they paid everyone through COVID. I hope this delta variant doesn’t screw up live music again. I’m sitting on a beach in St. Lucia listening to Joe Bonamassa. When are you going to do an interview of him? Thanks for all you do!
I did not expect another guitar master to arise in my musical life........Derek Trucks your playing style is a treasure. Thanks doesn't even begin to cover what i feel when he plays.
Love the groove of Derik, when he speaks. I'm a musician, lead and slide player, that both loves and hates this guy out of envy. I wonder, and can only assume the water moccasin was at his farm.
Derek is an amazing musician and human being. Really enjoyed this article! Susan Tedeschi is beyond talented and has a voice that would make angels weep. Another great article-thanks Alan!
I love your writing and coverage of soooooo many artists. Thanks for sharing this good conversation with Derek.

Love this- such good humans. Thank-you for the glimpse, Alan.

Great article. By far one of the greatest bands I have listened to. They put such heart and soul in their music.
