I just felt so hurt that you play for so long and give it everything you have; you play with needles in you, and when you’re bleeding and when you feel like you can’t walk. And when it came down to it, you had no rights.

Like firing a wonderful and kind doctor.

Big NBA loss today.

With the three point shot- West's PPG would have been more. His evolution from Zeke from Cabin Creek to General Manager was amazing to follow.

Rest in peace, Jerry. He was a personal of my father, who was a decade older. They knew each other from both attending West Virginia University in the 1950's.

Great piece Alan. I was fortunate to see West in the Garden vs. that incredible Knicks team. He and Baylor were a couple of my favorite players, along with Robertson. I remember being torn rooting against them when they played the Knicks, but it was always a joy to watch. JW was much concerned with being a great human being than a great bb player
