Thanks, Alan, for posting this. I used to play parts of this speech during the time that I taught. I used the outstanding documentaries,

“Eyes on The Prize” and its sequel. Knowing that he gave that speech shortly before he was murdered. Listening to his words, it’s hard to imagine that he didn’t somehow feel that something was going to happen. Knowing Gregg’s opinion on that flag was just further proof of his character and his genuineness.

I know Dickey wasn’t fond of that flag either.

Alan, you are all over the history of my generation. I lived on the outskirts of Atlanta in 1969 as a teenager so this hits home to me. Saw ABB at Piedmont Park and the Marietta fairgrounds, hung on MLK's every word. Yes the speech is amazing! Brings tears to my eyes. Peace, Love, Music!
