Thanks for sharing this great interview and memories, Alan. Willis was a real hero of mine and that team was an early obsession. I was in the Felt Forum watching Game 7 on the big screen and you could feel the thunder from the garden floor above. Incredible, indelible memories. We got an airedale puppy shortly after that championship and named him Clyde.

I was born in 1960 in Atlantic City lived in Margate a shore town soth of Atlantic city. So we got cable and had philadelphia and Some NY channels. So I saw the Knicks and the Sixers. So as a kid I naturally gravitated to the better team. The Sixers were just so bad so a Knicks fan I became. Those 2 Championship teams were awesome and so fun to watch. For the second title they added Earl the Pearl Monroe. Will never forget Willis Limping out on to the court. He so motivated that team his nickname fit like a glove. Thanks for sharing
