Welcoming Warren and the Mule to Bowling Green, Ky on Friday. It's been probably 15 years since he last graced the stage with his presence here, opening back then for Johnny Winter on one of his last shows. Woo hoo! Then, it's Derek and Little Feat on the 15th in Franklin, Tn. Oct 2025 will definitely be one for the books for this old geezer.

PS Between the Feat and Gov't Mule, TTB is really mixing it up out there, TTB and the Mule on the 11th, TTB and the Feat on the 15th. Getting it done for the lovers of their music. We're obliged.

Nice. Enjoy. I will be in Macon Saturday after celebrating Kirk West's 75th on Friday.

Well, unfortunately, Warren won't be making that party. But I'm sure he'll be there in spirit, and we'll all tip one for Kirk in honor of his 75th! Man, it goes by quickly, huh?

Nice, I was just going through my Kirk photo books with my buds recently, so much relatable history in there. Please give him our collective thanks, and Richard too for holding down the Big House fort for all these years. Enjoy!

Will do. Kirk's books are fantastic. He is an underrated writer as well!

Saw the opening collaborative Mule/TTB show in Toronto and the final one a week later at Pine Knob. I also watched the ones in between on Nugs. The chemistry between Warren and Derek on their respective sit ins was undeniable. To hear them jam their way through those Allman Brothers tunes was truly special. I mean Whipping Post followed by a With a Little Help from my Friends closer? Fuhgeddaboudit!

Enjoyed this. Warren Haynes interviews are always thoughtful and poignant. I’m excited to hear more of the sessions recordings. These Changes kills me. So glad he talked about John Medeski, who really doesn’t get talked about enough! His playing was essential to Luther Dickinson’s recent Mississippi Murals project.

Love hearing from Warren! Thanks Alan. For my ears I would rather hear it live and as it happened in the studio. Perfection in recordings is boring to me.......I'll take the real thing over perfection 24/7/365. Happy Trails you two!!

Love this:

“You’ve been telling me “The next one will have more overdubs” for 30 years!

I know. I start every album saying I’m going to do more overdubbing on this record and there are a few here, but I’m always going to favor playing live!”

Ha. It’s the truth. Warren and I have been doing these for a long time and that is one of the through lines.
