I only had the opportunity to see Jeff Beck once. This happened in November of 1989 while he was touring the Guitar Shop album while co-headling with SRV & Double Trouble. So I'm very pleased this was the tour I got to experience. Experience is the correct description. It was an amazing night and he was without a doubt the best guitarist I've seen. But equally impressive was one Terry Bozzio who also received a standing ovation. I got the impression that really irked JB!..btw I believe Bozzio was the best drummer I've seen. What a night and I didn't even talk about SRV.

Thanks. I have no good excuse for why i didn't see that tour, but at the time I really only went to clubs.

This was such a great listen, and I also learned a thing or two. Brad’s long lost record that was only put to disk recently (I think), is on the way, all the way from Greece! Can’t wait.

One of the main regrets of my musician and band chasing for 5+ decades is not having gotten to see Jeff live. SRV too, but Jeff, he’s at the top of my ‘wish I had seen’ list. And if I’m being honest, Stevie would be right next in line. I sometimes feel like Susan is channeling SRV in with her piercing voice belting out the tunes reminiscent of her days with DT.
