This is an awesome and timely post. Took my son Tyler to his first concert and it was ZZ Top at Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT ...ten years later he was working as a hand held camera operator at Mohegan Sun at ZZ Top shows and got to hang out with the late, great Dusty Hill after a show and smoke cigars outside the load out area.. thank you for these daily gems Alan Paul !
I loved the Banger Fillms ZZ Top doc. That was an early COVID lock down staple for me. I loved basically gettin to know Frank in that doc as he was always a pretty mysterious guy (just quite). Martin Popoff who worked on that film shared some great stuff about Franks’s greatness behind the kit yesterday https://youtu.be/p2hu7jj0mCs?is=PcY8QAUsRP0wBA1i
