Marcus King opens up about how music became his salvation during his darkest days. The guitar gave him purpose, healing, and a reason to keep moving forward. This is a raw and honest conversation.
This is so great, Alan. Been following Marcus' career since I saw him burn down the stage at the 2018 Peach Festival. His evolution over the past 5 years as been fun to watch/listen to. I've been wearing my copy of Darling Blue out since last Friday. Keep these types of chats coming!
That's sad, we REALLY appreciate the work you put into them and that you bring these artists into our world, often so intimately, just like with Marcus' interview. They're masterpieces, so please don't get discouraged and keep on keeping on, Alan! I listen to each and every one, even have taken a crack at the archives, but they're deep, so it's a slow slog. I try making some comments after each, because they all touch me deeply.
I first got turned on to Marcus during Covid, I think he was part of a virtual show that was doing a Brothers tribute, and I was hooked by his amazing guitar playing, but now I'm more enamored by his well rounded experience in song writing and his multi instrument wonders. Happy to hear his stories about Capricorn and Richard at the Big House, where I have been a sustaining member for many years. (note to self, I think I need to re-up it now, might have let it lapse). A true musician of the finest caliber, so many, many thanks for doing these! And yes, it was great to hear so much candor about the struggles that even so called 'successful' people go through in their daily lives, and also how often it takes that 'special someone' to recognize the goodness buried deep down and help bring us out of those depths of despair. Yep, been there, done that. And I have a darlin to thank for it too.

Thanks Sam. Appreciate the comment. I work hard on these things and honestly don't hear that much about them.

Thanks Harry.
Marcus getting deep!
